How can I make my cat and new kitten get along?

I've been in the same situation so I understand don't rush at introducing them, gradually introduce them hold them both near each other talk to the older cat and stroke her to encourage her, if there is any problems part them and try the next day gradually try longer periods everyday. I would recommend seperating there rooms for now. But it is common to start with for the adult cat to be aggressive to start with because she's protecting her tertiory.
