Will we ever see a day when Christians and Catholics get along?

my mum is christian and my dad is catholic and me and the rest of my siblings are all christian but our mum & dad's families don't get along and our dad's family is always trying to convert us to catholicism, coz they think we r doomed, why cant we call get along? :(
