We are bailing out all these corporations whose decision makers made bad decisions and because they are so big, they affect millions of people. What's to deter greed in the future that might hurt millions of people?

people cant even help other people without the cops interfering. i got arrested for trying to return luggage to a man who had lost thousands of dollars in camera equipment by knocking on doors in the neighborhood this luggage was found in. Well turns out someone called the cops saying we were going door to door asking about this luggage and the lady who called it in gave the cops a license plate number that was v v well ours on the bronco is z z. To make a long story short we got held at gunpoint and put in cuffs for doing the right thing. Why is the world such a crappy place nowa days ?

How do I get my baby to sleep?

My little girl is 9 months old and she hardly ever sleeps. She takes maybe 2 naps during the day. Sometimes she'll take an hour nap but the rest are 15-30 minutes. She goes to bed at night between 10-10:30 so I don't let her take naps past 6. She goes to bed easily because she is tired. But she's been waking up around 3 or 4 whining in her sleep. She doesn't cry, just whines. I've tried to let her cry herself back to sleep but it lasted over an hour one night and I was so tired I just gave in and got her a bottle. She's not awake when she cries, she's still asleep. I know she doesn't need a bottle because she takes a big cereal bottle right before bed. For the past week she's been crying around 4, 6, and 8. She finally gets up around 9. I don't know what to do. I hear her every time she starts whining so it wakes me up. I'm not getting much sleep and she's not getting good sleep so she's very grumpy in the day. Even through her naps in the day she whines! My Pediatrician told me to try a little Benadryl to help her sleep but it doesn't work. She's teething but I give her tylenol or Motrin for that. Nothing helps! I just don't know what to do anymore. She also will not take a pacifier. If you could please help, I'd sure appreciate it!

I've been in the same situation so I understand don't rush at introducing them, gradually introduce them hold them both near each other talk to the older cat and stroke her to encourage her, if there is any problems part them and try the next day gradually try longer periods everyday. I would recommend seperating there rooms for now. But it is common to start with for the adult cat to be aggressive to start with because she's protecting her tertiory.

Hello all, I am now seriously beginning to think about staying single for the rest of my natural life. I am almost 30 and have still not had a g/f yet if you can believe that. This is not due to my personal choice, it is because I was delt a VERY shi**y hand by my so called "parents". I got screwed, could not go to college due to a lack of monetary support from my "parents", and instead had to join the Marines. Since single women don't exist at Camp Lejeune, NC / Jacksonville, NC AND due to the fact that civilians hate Marines in the surrounding communities, I didn't get to date from age 18 to 23. After getting out of the Marine Corps, I took a good paying job in Colorado Springs, Colorado and subsequently was laid off. Unfortunately for me, since I am an outsider from TN, Colorado women (and men too) look down on me because I am from the south and will NOT give me the time of day since I am not a Colorado Native and because I am not from some "cool" place such as Oregon or Washington state. I have made up my mind that I am going to move to Texas or Oklahoma in order to be in a place that is culturally similiar to what I grew up with where the people are actually nice to you and friendly unlike Colorado natives and transplants tend to be. Anyway, since I am almost 30, I realize that the only single women in my age range will be single mothers and I REFUSE to get involved in "baby daddy" drama. In your opinion, don't you think that I would be better off just staying single since things haven't worked out for me like they do for most normal people in terms of dating and marriage is conerned?

Why did Armageddon get such bad reviews?

Ok so I first saw this movie when i was probably 10. Im 14 now and everytime I watch the movie I still enjoy it. I have just recently realized that this movie is not rated well. I was blown away when I saw that. People are criticizing it for the 168 impossibilities throughout the film. Well did they ever realize ITS A MOVIE!!!! Since when has their even been a sci-fi flick that was even 85% real. Never. I can see a scientist getting upset over it but to the average person it is just as realistic as any other action film. Also, I have heard criticisms over the actors and the plot. With actors like Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck, Liv Tyler, Billy Bob Thornton you cant possibly say the acting is bad. As for the plot, In my opinion it has a very well thought out and original plot. Especially the ending with Bruce Willis sacrificing himself to save the world. The average movie would have had them successfully destroy the asteroid and everyone live happily ever after. Do you still have or did you get any of the chi products? I had the products used along with a chi on my hair once it was straight and shiny. There is a whole line or items to use in steps but they worked on my hair. I can't even get a relaxer to take the curls out its that bad. I would ask a friend or some one who can help with the process also. Having some one else straighten your hair might help in that they can go over and over the same piece and see how the back and sides are lining up too. The wire leading to my single pole kitchen switch is not hot - How can I fix this?

My overhead kitchen light and dining room light share the same outlet box. Both lights are controled by the same breaker switch. The dining room light is hot (when tested with a neon tester). The kitchen is not. It appears that the hot wire leading to the kitchen switch is dead. The hot wires from both the dining room switch and kitchen switch just lead up into the wall with no splicing anywhere - the other wires (ground, etc...) are spliced leading to the switches. Short of calling an electrician is there a way to fix this with a trip to Home Depot?

To answer your question, my first thought is coast. Always look ahead down the road. If you see brakes a few cars up, there's no reason to gas it. Just coast up. Even if the guy in his raised 95 ranger behind you is flipping out, hell get there the at the same time, just using a lot less gas. Avoid taking it out of gear. not good for the car. Also, when i accelerate from a light, i try to keep the RPMs under 2k. Its helped substantially increase my mileage. My cheapy caliber is rated at 26 city and 30 highway, and ive been achieving over 34 mpg city since gas hit 4 bucks.

This cl requires as homework read some lectures from the textbook, write essays and do some research. I found my dinning room a comfortable place to do my homework, because I can set up the material that I need for my ENG 114 cl such, my book, rule paper, binder, pens, pencils, stapler, hi-liter and my laptop. In the fall, I plan to take the following cles: SPAN 216, Spanish for Bilinguals and PSYC 101. General Psychology. The materials that I need for SPAN 216, Spanish for Bilingual are: textbook, workbook, dictionary, rule paper, binder, pen, pencil, hi-liter, stapler and computer. The homework for this particular cl could be: reading, writing, memorize some definitions, and do presentation. What is going on with all the scandals in professional sports???

I think it's atrocious, and is very bad for all sports. I can't believe there are so many scandals surfacing in professional sports over the past few years, with NFL players involving themselves in illegal activity and using steroids, baseball players doping, and NBA players punching fans coupled with a referee who was betting on games, and then that horrible murder suicide in professional wrestling, and I've even heard that golfers might be using steroids!!! What is going on here? Did the media just not talk about these things before, or is there a new level of desperation in professional sports?

i bought chicken drumsticks a week ago and the day before they were due i threw them in the freezer, i took them out 2 days ago sand let them thaw in the fridge, I have never really paid attention to the way chicken smelled, but today before cooking it i smelled it just to make sure it was good. I had to put my nose right up to it to smell anything, but it did not smell like nothingness, it was left on the counter for 1hr to bring up to rm temp before cooking it, so maybe its just because it was at room temp that i thought it smelled funny, but the odour was not terrible, and i had to put my nose pretty close to smell anything. is the chicken bad? will it taste or smell funny when cooked? how do i know?> any actual risks of eating chicken so close to the due date?

A couple of days ago I went to a nightclub with some people who live near me. I had never drank anything before, other than a few sips of wine. I felt entirely liberated under the influence of alcohol. No longer were my movements so rigid and forced. I could start a conversation without feeling anxious. I didnt have to worry about knowing where to put my arms etc or what to do in a given social situation. I talked to people, and they responded and laughed, and it was great. I feel like I can combat any potential social difficulty, so long as I am under the influence of alcohol. Is this the cure to social anxiety?

Calculating Kinetic Energy?

So I want to find the kinetic energy and potential energy at any given point. I'm doing a projectile motion experiment. I know that the energy is conserved therefore whatever kinetic energy is lost is the amount of potential energy gained. My question is, is the kinetic energy calculated using the vertical velocity or the (total) velocity [both horizontal and vertical together] because doesn't potential energy concern with only vertical motion or am I wrong? Help, Still Singing Through My Nose?

Been practicing to get out the habit of singing through the nose. I've made quite some progress, but still can't seem to work out some vowels; air still flows out through my nose on some words starting and ending with 'm' (like 'my', 'me', 'mind', 'some', etc.) and those ending with 'ng' ('starting', 'confusing', etc.). And, in case this matters, I have pretty thick southern accent. I need some specific guides, pinky please.

TTC #1 w/ PCOS & long cycles. What to do?

I am 24 yrs old (25 next month). I have been married for 3 yrs & we are trying to concieve #1. We did end up getting pregnant last october, but it ended in a miscarriage @ 4-5 wks on 11/08/10. My cycles, ever since I stopped birth control last april have been irregular. When we got pregnant last october it was a surprise cause I was told it would be a miracle for me to get pregnant. Now that I know I am able to get pregnant, we want to start trying. My 1st period after the MC was 12/13/10 & my 2nd was 01/13/11, which made me think my cycle was gonna be 31-days. However, for my 3rd period in february, instead of having a 31-day cycle & getting my period on 02/13/11, I had a 38-day cycle & got my period on 02/20/11. For my period last month I had another 38-day cycle & got my period on 03/30/11, which lasted for about 4-5 days. We had unprotected on sunday April 3rd & according to my calculations I'm due to ovulate sometime between thursday April 21st & Saturday April 23rd. We are gonna try every other night this wk. But I have also heard it is possible to get pregnant if you have the last day of your period or the day after the last day of your period. If so, there is a possibility I could already be pregnant. I'm nauseated, feeling crampy, & I have bronchitis/cold, which is exactly what happened back in october. I began developing symptoms as soon as I conceived. Also like I said we had unprotected on the 3rd ( I was already done with my period) & by wed the 6th I started with really light spotting that lasted into thursday. My question is if I'm not already pregnant what can I do to help conceive quicker? I have PCOS & I'm guessing my cycles are 38-days, which would make the 1st day of my next period May 7th. If I don't conceive this month, what advice can you give me. Should I ask about possibly trying Clomid since we're having trouble conceiving now (we started trying again in feb). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I ask this question because I saw a commercial on tv advising parents to do everything they can to get their kids to be more active and participate in physical activity. In the commercial they showed a little girl asking her mother where her toy was and the mother eventhough she has it lies to her daughter and tells her to look in different parts of the house causing the girl to run from room to room thus exercising. To me this paints a picture that American children are so inactive that parents must do whatever possible for them to be active which to me is very strange. I can understand children not being active at home because there are so much other things to do like watch tv, play video games , surf the internet etc. but at school the main way of entertaining yourself is physical activity. I remember as a kid I would be waiting impatiently for the bell to ring for recess or lunch or for school to finish so I can play and run like crazy. There was also physical education which was mandatory .

Ok, this is weird. I posed this question a month ago, and I got some great answers. Unfortunately, none of those tactics have worked, and I'm still in a rut. I'm a 28-yr-old female, 5'7 and 190lbs. There's lots of muscle on me as well. I tried the South Beach diet for 2 weeks (NEVER cheated), and I exercised in conjunction. No weight loss. Then I switched to Atkins (yes, I know it's a horrible diet but I was desperate). My blood sugar was so low that I actually managed to get into ketosis, which meant that I should have been losing weight. No results. Then I bought hoodia (the pure kind--not that fake crap) and I was still left hungry. What the heck is happening? Two years ago, when I tried all these diets, they actually worked! I saw mad weight loss. I know a person's metabolism changes with age, but mine shouldn't have changed so dramatically in two years that it's virtually impossible for me to lose (other than starvation!). Can anyone help? Are there any nutritionists out there???

buy a 2 inch barrel curling iron that gets high in heat, start curling from the bottom and twist your way up. take about 1 inch sections, and leave about an inch maybe more at the end so the curl looks more natural, to stay away from spiral curls, you have to use a bigger iron. it takes some practice but you will get it eventually and it will take you like 15 to 20 minutes tops. always finish up with a little bit of hairspray for hold

My radiator on my 1998 cadillac deville is leaking antifreeze, although it doesnt overheat cold it be the hos?

The bottom / penger side of the radiator will leak some times. It seems to be where the hose is located, a gasket hasnt blown off, the water pump area is dry, and the radiator itself does not show any leakage either. Could the hose at the bottom be loose due to the care being old or could the hose be old enough to expand & thats the reason why it leaks. Every few days the cars computer will say " collant level low". I have seen the area im speaking of leak & than I will fill the reserve & all will be fine. It seems it happens in hotter weather ? anwsers please I need help, going under the car this weekend. It seems Cadillacs are very intricate cars !

I bought a gerbera daisy plant 2 weeks ago. It was beautiful. The leaves are lush and the flowers were big and high. Should i trade my xbox 360 falcon version in for a jasper?

OK, Got my PS3 and just got my xbox 360 in the mail today. Dell was selling the 60 gig pro holiday bundle with endwar for $268. So i ordered it. I had read about how to see which motherboard you have (Falcon/Jasper) and mine ended up being the Falcon. My question is this, should I see if I can swap it out at Bestbuy or another retailer in order to try to get the Jasper? Is the sound that much of a difference? How do you refresh a JLabel?

So I'm making a Java program for school and I chose to make a blackjack program. I'm making it so that the picture of cards will show up in JLabels and when the program starts, the dealer and the player has 2 face down cards. OJ spilt on Dell Inspiron E1405 laptop how do I replace start on?

7/10. You don't have a guy who steals bases. Soriano was supposed to steal a lot, but doesn't this year and only hits homers. You also have just one good consistent starting pitcher. Webb is undefeated, but no one else is good. Olsen and Padilla are pretty good, but lack consistency. Hall, Towles, and Cantu are some players who are really struggling right now. You need a fast guy and some starting pitchers right now. But on the bright side, Berkman and Soriano are doing really well.

Definitely a solid team, but you seem heavy on speed and a little low on power. I would decide to go with Ianetta at C, and trade Sandoval to someone who needs a catcher, since he is eligible at that position. Throw in Roy Oswalt (I think he is headed downhill) with Sandoval, move Davis to 3b, and try to get a guy like Morneau or Adrian Gonzalez. Your pitching is pretty solid, I think you can afford to lose Oswalt, especially b/c SPs are easy to find as free agents early in the season.

So that would have been day 11 to 16 depending on when your period comes this time. Remember that if you are later then 28 days then yes you would definably ovulate later then day 14. WHO WILL WIN: Packers or Steelers?

Both teams have strong defenses and both have had lapses during the season. Both teams have excellent QBs. The Steelers have a better running game. The Steelers have offensive line problems. The Packers have enough defense to pressure Roethlisberger, but he's experienced that for the past few years and been successful. I'd I'd like to see the Packers win, but think the Steelers are more likely. This is likely to be another low scoring game. It wouldn't be a huge surprise either way it turns out - the only thing that would surprise me is if it turns out to be a blow out. Since the Redskins aren't in the game I really don't have a strong preference; I'm leaning toward the Packers because it's been longer since they've won one, but I really like it to be a good game which ever way it turns out.
